Take Action Now

We listen, we ask, we think, we advocate.

ABOUT

Inspired by social movements of the past, Organized Latino Advocates - OLA! began when seasoned Latino community members decided to organize and make an impact. Pretty quickly, this singular moment evolved into a full-fledged movement. Our Community Movement challenges the status quo, holding our leaders accountable and fighting for solutions that will transform society.

ADVOCACY

Ensuring that All Voices are Heard

Advocacy is an essential pillar of our Organized Latino Advocates. There is strength in numbers, and we work to inform and encourage others to take a stand for what they believe in.

OUTREACH

No One Should be Silenced

As a large movement of activists, outreach is close to our hearts.  We know that the Latino community IS NOT generally a web-based, social media community.  Our community is a face-to-face, oral, multilingual, community that trusts those who know the community and Latino issues.  Outreach takes time, trust and education.  We believe that the best solutions for society come from within, and make it our mission to build awareness and support so that community-based, grass roots Latino advocacy is a possibility across the United States.

Fists in Solidarity

Team

Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

All to often, the Latino community rallies to organize around an issue or catastrophe.  Once the problem is solved or we are defeated and can do no more, the advocates, momentum, institutional memory, and networks dissipate.  Our advisors are guiding us to create a national movement so that all Latino communities can successfully advocate in their own neighborhood.

We are non-partisan and seek advice from all sides of the aisles, law, business, and other organizations to help us connect the dots to advance our community.  Like our culture, we are inclusive.  We are Latinos, Latino by marriage, or friends of Latinos.  We encompass Latinos from many heritages (Salvadoran, Guatemalan, Mexican, Bolivian, Brazilian, Peruvian, Ecuadoran, Panamanian, Columbian, Boricua and growing), include all socio-economic backgrounds, and reach out to those who speak, read or write Spanish, Portuguese, or English.  Racially, we identify as multiple race, White, Black, Asian, and

Americas Continental Indigenous.

DO YOUR PART

We believe that there is no singular answer—every little bit helps when it comes to making an impact. There are many meaningful ways you can help us succeed in our mission. Have an idea that’s not listed below? Reach out and let us know.
